Will Lidley was the first husband of Blanche Arnold Lidley Curtis. Will and Blanche were married in San Francisco on February 14, 1917, and were divorced by the mid-1920s. The 1920 U. S. Census shows Will and Blanche as a married couple. They lived in the "Smith cottage" on Glen Ridge Avenue in Los Gatos. Will is employed as a pharmacist, and he later owned a Los Gatos drug store. Will was active in many community events and organizations. A newspaper article in 1920 reported that he, in his role as entertainment chairman for the summer pageant, had engaged the Friesley Aircraft Corporation to provide airplane rides so that "Los Gatos people can enjoy looking at their home town from the clouds." And in fact, Lidley had on a recent Sunday "provided thrills for Los Gatos" by performing stunts above town in an airplane. Also in 1920 he served as president of the Chamber of Commerce and manager of the Los Gatos firemen's baseball team. He was born in 1891 in Kansas and died in 1970 in Alameda. CUR031
