The original 1908 high school building was soon inadequate because of continuing growth in population of the local area. To accomodate the projected student enrollment, bonds were authorized in 1923 for construction of a new building adjacent to the old 1908 high school building. The old building housed industrial shops and classrooms and was subsequently torn down in 1954 to make room for the new high school library and classrooms. Further expansions of the core building occurred in 1935 (music wing and multistoried classroom wing), in 1954 (Industrial Arts, Home Economics buildings, Boys' Gymnasium and swimming pool). In1967 the Main building was completely renovated and in 2005 a multistoried classroom building was dedicated. This complex is the current Los Gatos Union High School. SCH075
